Courtney joined the Stoneridge Middle School faculty in the fall of 2008. In addition to teaching Language Arts and Social World, she works on the alumni Facebook page and helps MS students organize “coffee houses” where they read their written work for their families.
Courtney traces her desire to become a teacher to her experiences as a student at Choate Rosemary Hall. While a student, she had the opportunity to live and study abroad in London, Paris, and Florence. She has taught both history and literature at a private high school in North Carolina.
Outside of the classroom, Courtney enjoys volunteering with the Junior League of Boston’s “Leader Within” program and modeling community service skills for sixth grade girls from Boston city schools. She currently lives in Boston with her husband.
