First an Internet software developer, Mark moved into education in 2002. He was trained by the International Baccalaureate Organization, attaining a Level Three certification, and taught at an international school in Washington, D.C. His decision to come to Stoneridge in 2006 was part of a larger decision to return to the North Shore where he grew up.
Mark serves as Director of the Middle School, and he has developed many aspects of the School’s Middle School program. He takes special pride in the international exchange program he has developed with schools in China, Mexico, and Spain.
During the summer of 2009, Mark enrolled in a course, “Improving Schools: The Art of Leadership” at The Principals Center at the Harvard School of Education. An avid traveler, Mark and his wife Allison now make their home in Beverly. He has two young children, one of whom is already enrolled in Stoneridge.
