Stoneridge Children's Montessori School offers the public an opportunity to tour its facilities and explore its campus at Open Houses scheduled throughout the admission season.

Interested families should call the admission office at 978.927.0700 x311 to request an admission packet. Once the families have reviewed the information in the admission packet, they are encouraged to call the School and schedule a tour. The Admission Director schedules tours Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. During the tour, the family has an opportunity to view the classrooms, as well as learn about the School's mission, philosophy, and methodology. After the tour, the Admission Director meets with the family and answers any questions that the family may have about the classroom environment, teacher training, the school, or the admission process.

Parents or guardians submit a completed application for enrollment with a non-refundable fee of $50.00 on behalf of the child applicant. A decision to apply for admission to the school is an indication of the family's willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy and methodology that was witnessed during the tour. It is a statement of intent.

When the School receives the application and non-refundable fee, the Admission Director opens an application file for the child. Then, she contacts the family and asks them to schedule an in-classroom observation. We require that all applicant families spend 30-45 minutes observing a typical day in the classroom to which their child is an applicant so that they can begin to fully appreciate the prepared environment, the teacher-child relationship in the classroom, and the peer-to-peer relationships in the classroom. It is an opportunity to educate the parents about what type of education their child will receive at Stoneridge Children's Montessori School.

Families are asked to have any existing school records forwarded to Stoneridge.  The School may also request teacher recommendations when appropriate.

During the winter, the Admission Director continues to serve the family as a point of contact and facilitator throughout the admission process. In January and February, we invite applicants to visit the school as a part of the admission process. The purpose of a child applicant visit or a student interview is to gain more information about the family and the child in order to make the best possible placement decision.

The school is pleased to give enrollment priority to siblings of currently enrolled students when the application and non-refundable fee for those students are received early in the admission season. Interested families should follow the steps outlined above throughout the admissions season.

All applicants are notified of the Admissions Committee decisions by March 9. If the notification is an acceptance, an Enrollment Contract is also mailed. Each family has 30 days to respond and enroll by signing and returning the Enrollment Contract and paying the non-refundable tuition deposit. If the contract is not returned within thirty days, the school cannot guarantee that the accepted child will be enrolled and will offer classroom positions to children on the Waiting List.

A child is considered enrolled only when the Enrollment Contract is signed and returned and the non-refundable tuition deposit is paid to the school.
